Across the Channel: Belgium’s Premier League Story
From Philippe Albert to Kevin De Bruyne. From forgotten pioneers to Belgian internationals who became fan favourites, record signings and champions.
In Across the Channel: Belgium’s Premier League Story (working title), I explore the history of Belgian footballers in the English game. The book goes beyond the famous names and familiar achievements to uncover the stories behind the players, transfers, matches and clubs.
Following several generations of Belgian footballers across the Channel, it also tells part of the story of how English football itself has evolved.
Currently in development.
Over the coming months, I’ll be sharing stories and discoveries from my research on this website.
